OPENING RECEPTION Wednesday, October 24, 2001 The Contemporary Arts Center is our host for an evening reception. Cincinnati’s only museum dedicated to modern and contemporary art, the CAC focuses on recent developments in painting, sculpture, photography, architecture, performance art and new media. EXHIBIT HALL RECEPTION Thursday, October 25, 2001 Are you curious about what wearable computers are all about? Interested in trying one on? Can that information in your collections management system be delivered to a mobile device? Would you like to try an audio tour? Join us for a Reception in the Exhibit Hall on Thursday evening where you will have a chance to talk with the developers of innovative products and services that help museums and visitors communicate.

CLOSING RECEPTION Friday, October 26, 2001 The Cincinnati Art Museum welcomes conference participants for an evening reception and the conference closing plenary. Guests will have the opportunity to view the museum’s permanent collections representing artistic achievements from around the world. Areas of special strength include the only collection of ancient Nabataean art outside of Jordan, the renowned Herbert Greer French collection of old master prints, and a fine collection of European and American portrait miniatures. The Museum holds and displays many paintings from Cincinnati’s "Golden Age" (1830-1900) as well as Cincinnati’s own Rookwood pottery and over 40 pieces of Cincinnati carved furniture.
