Diana Folsom has a strong background in visual arts and worked in the education technology field for eight years before joining LACMA over fourteen years ago. For several years, Ms. Folsom has been part of the team which is working to place LACMA's collection of 100,000 artworks on the web at http://CollectionsOnline.lacma.org. Her focus is to develop web access to the collection on a low budget that will be meaningful and useful to all sorts of web visitors. Currently, Collections Online has 58,507 artwork records; 39,397 enlargeable images; 10,608 thumbnail images and 112,508 bibliographic records online. As we develop LACMA's web access, we strive to engage all audience levels - from the expert to the novice even while we are photographing and cataloguing objects.
