John R. Bedard is Director of Information Services at The Minneapolis Institute of Arts. John brings experience from a wide variety of industries to his position at the MIA. He has directed information systems activity in a major casino, in several manufacturing and distribution companies, in the management consulting practice of an accounting firm, and in a survey based research organization. In several of these he led the effort to develop enterprise wide information systems. Mr. Bedard joined The Minneapolis Institute of Arts five years ago. At the Institute he has led teams that selected and implemented several systems, including: Membership and Development system, Financial Management system, Ticketing, and Tour Scheduling. In addition currently is serving as chair of the Instituteâs Technology Team and co-chairs the Visitor Activity System project with Stephanie Stebich.  John has been active in a number of local and national computer user groups, including presenting papers at national meetings.
