John Walko has been with The PPS Group for over eight years, and has served in various consulting capacities. His primary focus is on consulting and providing solutions for moving image archives. He combines a strong technical understanding of digitizing moving image content with how people want to work with video content to help organizations understand how to best solve their needs has worked with many aspects of film and video with PPS. Johnâs background is on the technical side of dealing with video, including assisting with the development and marketing of video digitizing and transmission systems. His latest endeavor is working with the archival division of The PPS Group, called Scene Savers, to assist archives with the preservation of and access to their audiovisual materials. John is active in MAC, AMIA and SAA, and participates in both the digital initiatives committee and digital asset management committee of AMIA
