The MCN Standards Special Interest Group (Standards SIG) is a working group that focuses on data standards related to the application of computer technology in museums, libraries, and archives. We promote the sharing of information about applied standards and the testing and demonstrating of new and evolving standards. The SIG meets annually at the MCN Conference, where we also present one or more panels on a standards-related topic. We report on SIG activities and share standards news through the MCN listserv. This web page is a SIG-sponsored information-sharing resource for the MCN community.

The group communicates via the MCN-L listserv with "[Standards SIG:]" in the subject line.
